I have heard to relocate the MAP sensor is a must when getting a standalone. The reason is that the MAP sensor in the stock location can?t see boost. Is this correct? Where should I install it? Should I get a new one and remove the stock? I plan to hock up a HALTECH standalone.
Please help out, THANKS!

on a jackson supercharger, the map sensor in the stock location does not see boost, you do have to relocate it. the easiest way is to put a T in one of your vacuum lines and run a hose to the the MAP sensor.

eehmmm, the standalone must read the vac/boost from the MAP sensor, I think.
I don?t know exactly if it is nacessary to relocate it. Anybody knows?

the map sensor needs to see actual manifold pressures for the ecu to opperate right . the map sensor stock location (while it can see vacum accurately) will not read boost being upstream of the boost device . therefore it cant deliever the proper signal for the amount of fuel and maping needed under boost .
